If you’ve chipped, cracked, or broken a tooth:
- Rinse your mouth gently with warm water to clean the area and remove any debris.
- Check for bleeding. If there is any, gently apply gauze to the area until the bleeding stops.
- Apply a cold compress to the outside of your mouth or cheek near the broken tooth to help reduce swelling and ease discomfort.
- Collect any broken pieces, if possible, and place them in a clean container with milk or saliva to keep them moist.
- Avoid chewing on the side of the mouth with the broken tooth and stay away from hot, cold, or sugary foods and drinks.
- Call our office as soon as possible.
