Karina – Front Desk Coordinator
Originally a general dentist in Venezuela, Karina owned and operated her own private practice before relocating to the United States. After several years of working as a dental assistant in the Orlando area, she has shifted her focus to the administrative side of the practice.
With a deep understanding of clinical care and patient needs, Karina is now pursuing her goal of advancing in practice management and treatment coordination.
Mayras – ASSISTANT
She is originally a dentist from Ecuador and speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese. She recently moved to Orlando, having previously lived in both Brazil and Ecuador, where she practiced general and pediatric dentistry.
Susan – Dental Hygienist
Susan McLaughlin, RDH, B.S, earned her Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from Delaware Technical Community College and her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science from West Chester University. She has worked in the field of dentistry for over 40 years, having started in 1981 at her father’s general dental practice in Wilmington, Delaware.
Susan moved to Florida in 1999 and obtained her Florida licensure in 2000 after having practiced as a Licensed Dental Hygienist in various states including Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New York. As a Dental Hygienist in Florida, Susan worked for 7 years at the general dentistry practice of Dr. John J. Nelson. She then spent 18 years working for Dr. Gary G. Cook in the field of Periodontics until his recent retirement.
Throughout Susan’s long and successful career as a Dental Hygienist, she consistently earned strong endorsements of clinical excellence from her satisfied patients. Susan is most passionate about taking care of her patients in a way that is both kind and caring with an attention to helping them to feel at ease during their appointments.
Susan enjoys spending time with her husband of 35 years and their two adult children. She also has many hobbies and interests she enjoys that include, travel, bible study, tennis, volunteer work, hiking and Backpacking. She recently hiked the Camino De Santiago with her daughter and is planning a trek to Machu Picchu for their next adventure. We are excited that Susan has decided to join our practice.
